TECHNOLOGY - THE PAINT

Using the best quality paints ensures that all refinishing work will not only look good, but will match the existing paint on a vehicle and stand the test of time. If poor quality paints are used, over time the paint will fade and dull which highlights any repair work undertaken. As we pride ourselves on the standards of our work, we use the best paint available and in our opinion the brand is Glasurit.

 

In addition to excellent quailty original factory finishes Palatine Motors offer special fx paints called Chroma Flash. These are hi-metallic, mica and flip tone finishes. The images below show how the colours of the flip tone paint may change depending on viewing angle.

Once they interact with the sunlight, they create magical colour and light games car body surfaces they are applied on.Different effects are obtainable: 8 iridescent colours with luminous interferences from the violet/turquoise, gold/green, red/orange shades, to the new tri-dimensional silver hologram which creates a very suggestive light with rainbow effect. The Sideral Silver effect transforms the surface in a very bright coloured coat we call "Star Powder" to the Sparkling Glass chromatic effect.
